The York Entrepreneurs Society

The York Entrepreneurs Society is a student society at The University of York.We are based in the Vanbrugh Enterprise Zone and work in conjunction with The University’s Enterprise and Innovation Office and The White Rose Centre for Excellence in the Teaching and Learning of Enterprise (WRCETLE).
Mission

The Society's mission is to encourage and support student entrepreneurship by providing inspiration, education and the chance to learn by doing at The University of York and beyond.
Aims

  • To inspire entrepreneurial interest and further enterprising activity amongst students at The University of York.

  • To educate students in the theory and skills conducive to entrepreneurial action and thus develop a practical enterprise curriculum at The University of York.

  • To engage students at The University of York by providing the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in business enterprise and thus learn by doing.

Membership

Membership of The Society is on an informal basis and is completely free. Subscribers of the Enterprise-Students mailing list are considered to be Ordinary Members of The Society.
