Activities and Event Descriptions


A WWCHE activity is defined as an ongoing sub group within WWCHE supported by a coordinator that meets on a weekly or monthly schedule throughout the year. Due to the nature of the activity, a nominal fee may be required for participation.

Park Day: A weekly get together for all ages as an opportunity for Mom’s to fellowship and kids to meet new friends.

Keepers at Home: A monthly activity group for girls age 6 to 18 and their moms to earn badges for skills, homemaking, scripture memory, hobbies, sports, etc.

Contenders of the Faith: An activity group for boys ages 6 to 14 focusing on developing a teachable spirit while mastering crafts and skills to become complete, capable, well-balanced Christian young men.

Facebook: A secure group for current WWCHE members to encourage each other, share tips, advice, websites, and keep updated on activities.

Mom's Night Out: A night of fellowship for Moms only. A member will graciously open her home and hostess along with a helper that will help with providing food, etc.

Mentor Moms: A support ministry for new and veteran moms to encourage one another, ask questions, give advice, and fellowship with one another.


A WWCHE event is defined as a one-time gathering supported by a coordinator and volunteers that focuses on an educational, social, or enrichment opportunity for students of various ages depending on the kind of the event. Due to the nature of the event, a nominal fee may be required for participation.

Fall Social – September: A beginning of the school year social event for all WWCHE families that includes fellowship, covered dish supper and family games. This will also include an informational opportunity for all members to find out about upcoming activities, events and associate groups.

Mother-Son Event- October: A fun activity planned for mothers and sons.

Fall Board Game Day- October: Families and children bring their favorite board games for an afternoon of group fun.

Science Fair- January: An opportunity for our budding scientists to present a topic in a display or exhibit with the option to be considered for state competition.

Art Show-Fall: An opportunity for budding artists to create an original project for display.

Valentine Party-February: A party complete with a valentine exchange and sweet treats!

Father-Daughter Dinner & Dance-February: A special evening for fathers and daughters including dinner and entertainment.

Biography Night- March: Participating families study and present a display or exhibit about a chosen figure from history.

International Night-November: Participating families study and present a display or exhibit about a chosen country or state.

Field Day-April: An afternoon of individual and team relays and fun for all ages! The rain date for this event will be the Friday following the initial date. As a volunteer, please plan to be available both days.

Testing-April/May: Standardized testing offered for students in a group setting as needed utilizing the Stanford Achievement Test for 3rd through 12th grade. This is a three day volunteer commitment in which test proctors will be needed. Monitors will also be needed for testing.

Used Book/Curriculum Sale-May: An opportunity to buy and sell used educational materials including curriculum, books, games, puzzles, maps, and resources.

Graduation/Awards Ceremony-May: Participating families may enjoy the opportunity to recognize student achievement in spiritual, character or academic areas. Kindergarten and 5th grade graduation included also.

Senior Graduation Ceremony: A graduation ceremony to recognize seniors graduating from high school.

Field Trips-Monthly: Vary from month to month depending on interests and ideas. Facilitators should be a previous WWCHE member.
