Monthly meeting - Crabshell, Kingsbridge

Tuesday, 27th March 2012 at 6pm - 8:30pm

Location: Crabshell, Kingsbridge

This event is in the past.

Our speaker will be Emma Richards from the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) and she says this about her talk:

"The IPO is a government department responsible for granting Intellectual Property Rights that include Trade Marks, Patents, Designs and Copyright.  In the one hour session I will be explaining the differences between each of these rights and how they are significant to EVERY business.  I will explain how you can protect your business name to avoid competitors stealing your brand and how important it is to realise ownership of copyright when you are creating a website.  A common mistake in business is assuming that you own the rights to your website and in most cases this is not true".
