Location: Ambleside

This event is in the past.

Beautiful 7.8-mile (5-hour) walk around the Scandale valley near Ambleside followed by dinner at Zeffirellis. Join in and be vegan for the day!

Starting at noon from Rydal Road pay-and-display car park, we first walk on pavemented road until joining a footpath along the East bank of Scandale Beck. We follow the path to the top of Scandale Pass from where we follow a dry stone wall South East. After crossing another wall, we walk on a path East to the Red Screes summit (770m). From the summit, we head to the cairn at Raven Crag and then continue South West to cross a wall and follow a descending a broad ridge over Snarker Pike. We continue down the crest of the the broad ridge and then follow the wall side path down the ridge onto Kirkstone Road. The walk finishes at Zeffirellis where we will have vegan dinner at 6pm.

Please, remember to check the weather and dress appropriately for walking. We recommend waterproof clothes and walking boots.
