An annual Tradition of UYRUFC is to hold a match between the current 1st XV against a President's XV. Come along and support the UYRUFC as they take on the old boys in what should be a great entertaining match. Be there at 12 pm Midday at 22 acres, bring friends, booze, food and come enjoy a great game of rugby for the day!

It is that time of the year again when the old guard return home to regale in tales of past victories, re-living their youthful years in one epic weekend of rugby and smash.
The plan for the weekend is as follows;
FRIDAY 20 Nov - First Old Boys return to York and begin the traditional practice of drinking dry the local ale houses.
SATURDAY 21 NOV - President's XV vs UYRUFC 09/10 Invincibles. K.O. 12:00 pm at 22 Acres. To be followed by food at the Deramore Pub.
Evening; Beers in town, followed by sit-down dinner at 'Stonegate Yard' for 7:00 - 7:30pm (Directions on the event page).
* Unlike last year, as this is a sit down affair I need to know exact numbers of those attending. A menu will be sent out shortly from which to choose courses .
The cost for the weekend is; £30 for Old Boys
£15 for Students

Robert 'Naboo' Grant Posted by Timothy Ngwena, Sunday 21st September 2008 @ 2:13pm A Freshers’ trial will take place on Sunday 19th October, on 22 Acres (the main University sports pitches, opposite Halifax College). Before then, come and join us for some light training and touch sessions during Freshers’ Week (timings to come), and sign up with the Club at the Sports Fair on Saturday 18th October. And as always, feel free to talk to anyone you see wearing club stash during the first few weeks for a personal view of the club.
