We are a registered branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club, but welcome divers from any training body, and complete beginners. Whatever your previous experience, from complete beginner to experienced diver, you will be able to enjoy diving and training with us, in the company of friendly people who love to dive and socialise! We hold regular pool sessions at the university pool.
After holding the elections last night, we are pleased to announce the new committee for the 2012-2013 academic year. Thank you to everyone who turned up and cast their vote. Also, a bigh thank you to the current committee who have put in a tremendous amount of work running the club this year.
The centenary commemorations of the scuttling of the German High Seas Fleet at Scapa Flow may be over, but the year-long BSAC project continues and steps up a gear this week with a joint Anglo/German dive team.
Today marks the start of the Marine Conservation Society (MCS)’s Plastic Challenge. People taking on the Plastic Challenge in July are pledging to say goodbye to single-use plastic. So far, over 6,000 people have signed up to give it a go, and the charity hopes that by the end of the month, last year's record figure of 9,000 challengers will be broken.
