Hello!
Professor Marshak and Adam Pagel have a passion for providing study abroad programs in non-traditional regions of the world, like the Middle East. To help make study abroad possible for more students, they have raised $2,000 in travel grant funding for each accepted and confirmed CSE student on this program! That means that participating students will have a final cost of $3,000 for what is a $5,000 program. This is really a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Space is limited.
We are still accepting applications for this special opportunity to study in Israel and Jordan. The program focuses on R&D, technology transfer, start up companies, and the history/culture/politics of the region. Students earn three credits, and participants can use the credits in their tech elective total with departmental permission. The course begins during Spring Semester, with travel during May Session 2013.

The Society of Women Engineers and Tau Beta Pi are hosting their Annual Chocolate Soiree THIS SATURDAY, November 10th, 2012 from 7-10 pm in the Mississippi Room on the 3rd floor of Coffman Memorial Union.
Come join us for chocolate fondue and other delicious snacks and also help out the local community by making holiday cards for nursing home residents for The Salvation Army!
Admission is $5 or a canned food item donation, and all proceeds from this event will be donated to a local food shelf. All students are invited!! See you this Saturday for a fun night of food and friends, and, most importantly, service!
