The Food Security Portal for Sub-Saharan Africa was officially launched in Brussels on 16 September 2015. Theo de Jager, the President of PAFO, described the portal as "an open space in front of a gateway to which people converge , giving rise to perspectives on what is happening inside before even entering it. "
