Oxford Young Professional Society is an established society open to all young professionals in Oxford, UK.
The society’s aim is to provide a forum for young professionals to meet & network on a regular social basis to develop contacts and working relationships in Oxford.
Founded by four professional firms, the society is managed by a local committee.
Members can share experiences, network and simply enjoy socialising with their peers. The Society provides:
- access to local contacts in a broad range of professions
- organised events ranging from cocktail nights to balls and boat trips
- practical talks on life and business issues

First and foremost may I say a great big welcome to new subscribers of the mailing list. Our hope is that the newsletter and events wet your appetite for full membership. There is also the added bonus of our OYPSter card - more details below

A big thank you to all who attended our New Year Party last week! By all accounts people had an amazing time, so thanks especially to Lara, Cat and Ricky for all their hard work.
In light of this - and the fact that we have not put anything on for quite a while - there will be one of our famous Thirsty Thursday evenings next week. If you feel like meeting new people, or catching up with familiar faces, please do scroll down for further information.

This is your final reminder to buy tickets online for the OYPS New Year Party. Members can get a special rate if they pay before 5pm tomorrow (Thursday 28th January) after which time there'll be simply one price at the door, so make sure you don't miss out!
Given the amount of tickets sold so far the night looks set to be pretty darned awesome, so do head over to http://oyps.org/coming-soon as soon as possible. We have exclusive use of the venue and DJ until 11pm, and included nibbles and a couple of free drinks.

A greeting to all those able to make it into work today! We hope you had an amazing Christmas period, and that 2010 brings nothing but happiness.
With a new year comes a new set of OYPS events, and the first is our New Year Party. It will be a great chance to indulge a little during what tends to be a month of tight purse strings and new resolutions. We have inclusive drinks and nibbles, along with exclusive use of the venue and DJ. There will even be a few extra drinks thrown in by the OYPS to thank you for your support over what has been an enjoyable and successful year!

PS. In our December edition we failed to thank Vicki May for all her hard work. She stepped down from the committee at the end of last year, and has been an absolute star. Right ... think that's enough gushing for the moment.
