Dear all
Just a couple of things to tell you about this time. We're guessing a lot of you are now off on holiday somewhere, and for that reason we generally don't hold that many events at this time of year. We will however be back with a bang in September, with two fab evenings.
The first is a Poker Night, held at Blake Lapthorn. Places are limited, so do let Kathy know if you'd like to come along! Full information are below. Then near the end of the month we'll be having our legendary New Members Night. Details are still yet to be finalised, but this event is always a lot of fun as the Society welcomes its annual influx of recent graduates and others new to the town.
We hope wherever you are this weekend, you'll having a great time and look forward to seeing you soon

Hey there
Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Summer Ball has had to be cancelled this year. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused, and will endeavour to provide full refunds for tickets as promptly as possible.
Fear not however for we have pulled out all the stops to put on something equally awesome in its place so you are not at a loose end this Saturday night! We have hired out Baby Love, just off Oxford High Street instead, for an evening we like to call Summer Lovin'.
Entry will be free from 7pm to those with Summer Ball ticket receipts, and they will also be treated to a couple of free drinks. For everyone else, our friends at Baby Love have agreed to only charge £3 admission before 11pm.
The same DJ returns from our highly successful January bash, playing a mix of current pop, cheese and requests during the evening. Once again, we are gutted to have pulled the plug, but hope you'll join us this Saturday regardless, and join us in a proper summer knees-up! Full details at http://www.oyps.org/coming-soon !

PS. In a correction to the last newsletter, kind sponsors Matthew Clulee will on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th August 2010 charge Ball guests £5 less than their normal price for blow dries and hair ups.

If a great new sponsor and as such a slightly different poster is not a great reason to drop you a line then we don't know what is :)
Thanks a ton to leading local firm Grant Thornton who have very kindly offered to sponsor our drinks reception at the Ball, which if you're not aware takes place 7 August 2010 at Woolfson College. Tickets are available at www.oyps.org/coming-soon and the awesome poster is attached.
Thanks also go to Matthew Clulee, who have not only just joined the increasing list of local firms offering discounts to OYPS card holders, but are also running a special promotion for the Ball. On Friday 6th and Saturday 7th August 2010 they will change Ball guests only £5 off blow dries and hair ups.
