Hi Everyone,
This term is swiftly drawing to a close and I, being the disorganized person I am, haven't yet arranged a proper social (excluding all the general sociability of every Tuesday of course). So this Friday of 6th (Friday 16th November) I've booked St. Hilda's South JCR (which is essentially a large, comfy living room) for a Film Night!
It'll start at 8pm, and the choice of film is entirely up to you. Alex (El Presidente) has a host of great DVDs including:
All the Monty Python's
Airplane I and II
Pirates of the Caribbean
The Princess Bride
Fight Club
Laputa: the Flying Island (anime style film like Spirited Away)
If any of these appeal then come along, or if there's something you're desperate to watch, and you have a copy (or you think Videosyncratic or Blockbusters on Cowley Road are likely to have a copy) then bring it along with you!
(DVDs only though I'm afraid. The VCR in South doesn't work)
Ok, so:
Date: Friday of 6th (16th November 2007)
Time: 8pm
Place: St. Hilda's South JCR
Bring: Any DVDs you would like to watch, and your good selves! (Bad selves also permitted, but only if they behave whilst watching the film)
Oh, and popcorn and exciting nibbles will be provided, courtesy of your lovely Social Sec…me!

p.s: Detailed directions to St. Hilda's South JCR:
Once you get into St. Hilda's, follow the path that goes left, past all the bikes, past the dining-hall windows (the dining-hall is a delightful shade of pink, you can't really miss it) then in the next door on your left, through into the pale carpeted hallway, and turn right, walk past all the notice boards (but not as far as the stairs) then go left, and you'll be in the JCR!
St. Hilda's is pretty well signposted, but if you get completely lost, ask the Porters, who are very friendly…unless you're a boy…in which case you might be better off keeping a low profile :)
