Dear all,
In order to be much more effective as a group, we have decided to integrate ourselves with the Ethics & Environment committee in OUSU. As I'm sure you all know, their meetings are held on Thursdays at 5.30pm in OUSU, Bonn Square during term-time. Hopefully this merge will support stronger P&P initiatives across campus, and allow the Ethics & Environment group with more People & Planet facilities and access to the whole network.
However, as an individual activised through on People & Planet, I urge you all to continue to not lost the P&P vibe, and continue to do more activist events & stunts across campus, and in with the other campaigners across the UK!
Anyway, this week has exciting events also:

Environmentalism in Oxford: Making College Green
Dr. Veronica Strang, University of Auckland & Kim Polgreen, environmental business management

4.00-5.30pm talk, 5.30-6pm wine
Both Oxford alumni, Veronica Strang and Kim Polgreen were instrumental in the founding of the Linacre Green Society and will discuss how they were able to turn Linacre Greener.
Dr. Strang is a social anthropologist specialising on water issues and the environment in Western Australia.
Ms. Polgreen has worked on environmental business management in a variety of settings.
They will discuss how they brought the environment to the fore at Oxford, and what they are doing for environmental issues in their work today.
The discussion will be followed by a question and answer session and wine. Come and learn about environmentalism in Oxford and beyond!
