Mishcon de Reya present: How to be a Litigator - TODAY @ 4.30pm

Tuesday, 4th March 2008 @ 4:30pm

Come to our new presentation this afternoon that’s guaranteed to be relaxed and informative!

Anthony Julius, Consultant and Solicitor Advocate at Mishcon de Reya is widely regarded as one of the country’s top legal minds and was recently named one of the ‘Top 10’ litigators of the past 20 years by The Lawyer magazine. He will be sharing his insights on the world of litigation and the qualities that top litigation firms are looking for in their trainees.

Anthony’s remarkable career has included advising a vast range of clients such as Princess Diana, Robert Maxwell and Stephen Fry. He notably defended Deborah Lipstadt in her High Court and Court of Appeal case against David Irving in which she and her publishers, Penguin, were sued for describing him as a denier of the Holocaust, dubbed the “Case of the Century” by the media.

Speaking after Anthony will be Oxford graduate and solicitor Alexandra Fawcett. Alexandra is an assistant in the Media and Public Advocacy Group of Mishcon de Reya and will share her experiences as a young litigator and the path she took to get there.

Tuesday 4th March.
Venue: Massey Room, Balliol College
Please arrive at 4.30pm. The talk will begin at 4.45pm, followed by a question & answer session, and refreshments at 5.30pm.
