Dear members,
A final reminder that Sir Trevor McDonald is coming to Oxford this evening to speak to Oxford Law Society members! This should be a popular event please arrive at 6.45pm for a 7pm start.
Venue: Lecture Theatre, St Catherine’s College
Please bring your Law Society membership cards.
Until 2005, Sir Trevor McDonald was a newscaster with ITN, notable for having been the first black news anchor in the UK. Known for his clear, confident delivery and serious attitude, Sir Trevor is one of British television’s most trusted reporters. This is certainly reflected in the fact that he has won more awards than any other British broadcaster and gained knighthood in 1999. Since 2005, Sir Trevor has become associated with tabloid productions based loosely on newscasts or documentaries.
Sir Trevor McDonald is most famously known for being the main face of ITV News at Ten/Ten Thirty, and recently ITV confirmed that in January 2008, McDonald will return to ITV News and ITN to present the relaunched ITV News at Ten.
Hope to see you there. Have a good day!
Cat Long
