1. Allen & Overy Drop-in session at Duke of Cambirdge today 3-5pm

Just a reminder that Allen & Overy are coming to the Duke of Cambridge for an informal chat and drinks today from 3-5pm.

If you have a minute, pop in and get a brochure and have a drink (they’re free!). This is a great opportunity to ask them about vac schemes or training contracts; what its like at a magic circle firm…or just come and have a drink!

All students are welcome even if you haven't signed up…hope to see you there!

Commercial awareness: Asian legal market and future trends for 2008

Robert Thomson will be joining us from Jones Day and will present a short talk (30 minutes) on the Asian legal market and how English qualified lawyers fit in and what the future trends are likely to be. Some good things to bring up in upcoming interviews!

Robert Thomson is Partner-in-Charge of the Hong Kong Office of Jones Day. He previously headed the Firm’s international litigation practice and has been Partner-in-Charge of the Firm’s London and Sydney Offices.

A light buffet will be provided.
Please arrive in time for a 6.30pm start.
