This term's ball will be held at the London Aquarium, preceded by a champagne reception on the London Eye! It will take place on Saturday 16th February (5th week).

We invite all Law Society members to ballot by email for the ball this Wednesday, 23rd January (2nd week)…not Sunday 20th January as advertised in the termcard!

The ball is sponsored by CMS Cameron McKenna, Slaughter and May and Weil, Gotshal & Manges and promises to be one of the best balls the term. Set in the aquarium, you will be dining surrounded by all types of marine life! What's more, the night begins with a spectacular champagne reception on the London Eye. It will be an amazing and unique night of indulgence, excitement and partying. With the added bonus of goodie-bags, it really will be a night to remember!!

The ticket price is £70, which includes transport to and from London. The dress code is strictly black tie. Please note that coaches from Oxford will be leaving shortly after 4pm.

To obtain tickets for the ball, members must adhere to the following balloting rules:

1. Email entries will be accepted between 12pm and 5pm on Wednesday 23rd January. Any emails received before 12pm or after 5pm will not be included in the ballot.

2. Please email entries to oxfordlawsoc@gmail.com.

3. Please ballot in groups of 2, 4, 5 or 6. Group ballots of any other number cannot be accepted. Groups will be balloted at random. All members of a group will either be successful or not. There is no chance that one member of a group will get a ticket and not the others.

4. One person from each ballot group should email on behalf of the group and must include the names and email addresses of all members. Please also specify any dietary requirements.

5. All attendees must be members of the society.

6. The ballot itself will take place after Wednesday of 2nd week. Details of when and where the ballot will take place will be emailed to you soon. An independent adjudicator will be present to watch the ballot take place.

7. All successful entries will be notified via email by the end of Monday 28th January. If you are unsuccessful, you will not be notified.
