1. BALL BALLOT

The ballot was open yesterday between 10am and 4pm. However, last Sunday's bulletin wrongly stated the ballot would be accepting entries today. We realise that some members will have missed out and for this reason the ballot will reopen tomorrow between 12 noon and 1pm at http://www.oxfordlawsoc.com/ball. It will be drawn at 6pm tomorrow as planned in Exeter College JCR (although there is no requirement for you to attend).

2. LAW FOR NON LAWYERS

An invaluable presentation for all non-law students interested in becoming a lawyer.

Law is a career which welcomes all degree disciplines, which is why Eversheds are coming to talk to non lawyers about the process of entering the profession. They will discuss the recruitment process, the nature of the work in a City law firm and the transferable skills needed in pursuing a successful career in law.

Venue: Balliol College (may change - check the reminder email on Tuesday morning) Tuesday 20th May @ 6.30pm

3. INTERVIEW SKILLS

Do you have interviews for Vacation Schemes or Training Contracts? Want to know how to make yourself stand out from the crowd? College of Law will explain what to expect from vacation scheme and training contract interviews and give you the skills you need to succeed, including preparation, commercial awareness and how to make the most of you skills.

4. SUMMER GARDEN PARTY

Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP presents the Garden Party.

Relax on a long summer afternoon in one of Oxford's most stunning gardens. Come along and enjoy Pimms, fabulous entertainment and other summery treats!
