It's a BIG WEEK this week. With two ballots for extremely popular events, an essential careers presentation for first years AND CHAMPAGNE AND CHOCOLATES! 1. BALLOTSThe Clifford Chance presentation ballot was drawn last week and succesful entrants have already been notified. Sorry to those who didn't make it. BOAT PARTY BALLOT The boat party on Tuesday of 6th will be ticketed by ballot in advance so noone has to turn up and get let down. This will be done on WEDNESDAY of this week by groups of 2-6 members between 10AM and 4PM. More details will be provided on Wednesday so get thinking about who you want to go with. Reminder: the boat party is free! LAW SOC VICTORIA & ALBERT MUSEUM BALL BALLOT Easily the most important ballot this term! Prepare yourselves in groups of 2-6 to be entered into the BALL BALLOT. Entries for the ball ballot will be open NEXT SUNDAY from 10AM to 4PM with exact details to follow. The ball is sponsored by Denton Wilde Sapte and promises to be one of the best balls of the term. It will be an amazing and unique night of indulgence, excitement and partying. With the added bonus of goodie-bags, it really will be a night to remember! Unsure about what a 'Vacation Scheme' is, how to get one, or why you should be thinking about one? Freshfields are here to help and will be joining us to explain the recruitment process and answer any questions you may have. The deadlines for vacation schemes at most law firms for next summer will be during or shortly after Michaelmas, so this presentation is absolutely essential to get you thinking over this vacation. If you're not a member, now's the time to join. Due to the nature of some venues we're unable to signup new members on the door, so if you want to bring your friends you must get them to join up first or they might get turned away. Membership costs only £30 for the entire duration of your course or £15 for three terms.
