Nominations for the Oxford Law Society committee are OPEN FOR 3 MORE DAYS ONLY. Any member of the society can stand for Committee, all we ask is that you are enthusiastic and dedicated to the committee.
Law Soc Committee is a fantastic opportunity to make friends, organize events and learn more about the legal profession. Whether your interest lies in helping at our legendary balls and socials, planning prestigious mooting competitions or editing Verdict magazine, Law Soc has something for you - and you're guaranteed to enjoy yourself doing it! No other society combines intense responsibility
with such excellent access to graduate recruiters and partners at the world's best law firms. Committee members are expected to work hard and attend ALL events, but the benefits are worth it. If you think that you're up to the challenge, then nominate for election:
Nominations opened on Wednesday, February 20th (6th week), and close at 4.30 PM on Wednesday, 27th February (7th Week). Elections will take place after the Termly General Meeting of the Society, and voting will begin at 2.30 PM on Wednesday, 5th March (8th Week) at the Law Faculty. Candidates will have two minutes to hust at the TGM, and will be notified of the results via e-mail once voting has closed.
To nominate, simply send a 50-word manifesto via e-mail to benjamin.mcmurdo@new.ox.ac.uk and pidge a manifesto and passport-sized photo with your name and college written on the back to, Benjamin McMurdo, at New College.
