Oxford Emerging Markets

  • Oxford Emerging Markets Ltd (www.oxemg.com) is looking for 
    motivated, bright, and ambitious students to bring the company to 
    an even higher level this year.

    Oxford Emerging Markets Ltd aims to explore careers and investment  
    opportunities in emerging markets, with the intent of fostering  
    links between developed and emerging markets on a business as well 
    as an academic level. Annually we run three highly successful trips 
    for students from the all over the world to Beijing, Hong Kong, and  
    Dubai, and we are looking into expanding into Singapore, India,  
    Brazil and Russia. These trips provide participants with the 
    opportunity to visit both international and local firms operating 
    in emerging markets, as well as to experience the cultural and  
    historical legacies of the various locations we visit.
     The trip objectives are both educational and practical: we aim to  
    explore what it is like to live and work in these regions, witness  
    the phenomenal economic growth first hand, and provide participants  
    with contacts and networking opportunities in world-leading 
    financial institutions. Our current and past partnering companies  
    and organizations include Jardine Matheson, Goldman Sachs, Morgan  
    Stanley, J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank, UBS, Credit Suisse, McKinsey &  
    Company, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company, Monitor Group,  
    Booz & Company, Bank of China, Ping An Insurance and Linklaters. In  
    addition, we have set up links with Peking University, and our aim 
    is to do this with other universities in the various countries that 
    we visit.
     We are looking for students who have excellent leadership, 
    communication skills, and a strong interest in emerging markets.

    The positions posted below pose a fantastic opportunity for you to  
    sharpen your commercial awareness, work with a team of 
    entrepreneurial students of exceptional calibre, and meet and  
    liaise with global employers and their recruiters in emerging  
    markets.


     The positions available are as follows:


     -Secretary

     Oversees company bank account
     Assists with administrative matters regarding both the organisation 
    of trips and the running of the company
     Liases between sponsors and company directors

    -Two trip organizers for each destination:
    Beijing - Chinese language skills desired
    Hong Kong
     Dubai

    Planned/potential destinations
    Singapore
    India
    Brazil
    Russia

    -IT Officer
