“OxFizz is social entrepreneurship at its best; a sustainable and replicable business model designed to meet specific needs in the community” David Verey CBE, Chairman, The Art Fund
About OxFizz
OxFizz is a pioneering, innovative and completely unique social enterprise. Set up in 2007 by three recent Oxford graduates, OxFizz provides professional mock career interviews for students. Profits are channelled to a charity of the interviewer’s choice.
Achievements
In our first year we have:
• Raised almost £1,000 for charities
• Won Oxford round of Procter & Gamble’s ‘Dragons’ Lair’ competition for innovative student-run organisations
• Secured free office space at the Said Business School and Oxford University Careers Service
• Recruited over 20 interviewers from companies including Deloitte, Lehman Brothers, Unilever, KPMG
• Won national exposure, and gained supporters including the Chairman of Blackstone and the CEO of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations
Internship programme
We are recruiting for a committee of volunteer student interns (non-finalists) to help us run OxFizz. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a real interest in the charity sector/social enterprise. Interns run OxFizz and receive top quality training/seminars, as well as Summer Placement opportunities at other charities we partner with (including UnLtd and Earthwatch).
