We are the Oxford University Mountaineering Club, one of the oldest climbing clubs in the world. We exist to promote climbing and mountaineering within the University and beyond. Our most effective method of achieving this is to organise four trips each term to climbing venues around Britain. Generally these are at the end of each “odd” week, (so 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th). Of course we also organise longer expeditions, have a free bouldering wall, lend out equipment, own a superb mountaineering library, run regular talks and slide-shows and sort people out with climbing partners.
