We all share one world - explore how we can solve our world's concerns and problems together and discover why the 'clash of civilisations' is a myth.

It is currently Islam Awareness Week across the UK (20-26th November 2006).

The theme for this year is ‘One World – The Myth of the Clash.’

OUISoc and Oxford iMAP will be holding an exhibition promoting the One World message.

The exhibition will explore how people have worked together in the past for the greater good and how this partnership can continue to build a better world.

Through this year’s theme, Islam Awareness Week aims to underline the many values that bring us together, such as truth, justice, freedom and dignity.

It intends to highlight the fact that the ‘clash of civilisations’ is a pure myth, as centuries of cooperation, communication and understanding have shown. We need to work together through promoting universal values such as peace, respect and equality in order to ensure a better future for all.

Everyone is welcome to visit this event which will include: - Exhibitions
- A video presentation
- The opportunity to meet Muslims and ask questions - Refreshments

Please feel free to invite your friends, colleagues and neighbours along to the event, entry is free.
