The upcoming weeks show no sign of slowing down in terms of the events that we are bringing you. Ranging from an excellent opportunity to meet with the highly sought after boutique firm Perella Weinberg Partners, to a tailored CV workshop with J.P. Morgan, and a fantastic chance to get ahead on technical knowledge with a seminar on Options, Futures and Other Derivatives brought to you by 7city. As well as this you can look forward to the chance to possibly attend our annual Christmas Networking Dinner at Gee's Restaurant, where we will be hosting dozens of representatives from our partner firms. 1. Perella Weinberg Partners

Perella Weinberg Partners provides independent investment banking advice and asset management services to leading companies and investors around the world.

They are currently recruiting for full-time positions and internships in their investment banking team in London, and would like to hear from final- and penultimate-year students seeking a rewarding career in an intellectually challenging and collegiate environment.

Perella Weinberg Partners is hosting an event on the 17th November at the Old Library, Wadham College, which will give students the opportunity to learn more about a career at the firm, and to talk to junior bankers and senior partners about working in finance.

In addition, there will be wine, beer and canapés served.

2. Options, Futures and Other Derivatives

OUIFS will be hosting the second lecture by 7city Learning, a specialist firm providing financial services training, on ‘Options, Futures and Other Derivatives’.

This event is primarily aimed at those interested in Sales, Trading and Research, and is a great opportunity for you to prepare for interviews and assessments. The lecture will cover the basic techniques and skills necessary to succeed in these divisions, as well as specialist terminology and basic options models, to provide you with a general understanding of derivative products.

There is a limited capacity of 50 people. If you would like to attend this event, simply register by emailing: vanessa.yu@trinity.ox.ac.uk. Please state ‘7city Lecture 2’ in the subject title.

3. J.P. Morgan CV Workshop

Representatives from HR and the banking divisions of J.P. Morgan will be coming down to help you with your CVs. They will offer general advice on how to tailor your CV best to make your application stand out.

Following this, they will be sitting down with small groups of you, to look at your CVs individually, giving individual feedback on what is good about yours and how to improve it. The advice will range from simple formatting and layout, right up to what experiences may look good on there.

This is an exceptional opportunity to get an insight and personalised advice from the very people that look at thousands of applications, and may well be sifting through yours in the upcoming years.

4. OUIFS Christmas Dinner

OUIFS will be hosting our annual dinner at Gee's Restaurant on Tuesday November 25. We already have a fantastic guest list of representations from our sponsors that include many Managing Directors, VPs, and Associates. We are also excited to welcome a number of Senior Representatives this year, many of whom have graduated from Oxford.

If you are in your first or penultimate year of study and would like to attend this dinner please email a CV and brief Covering Letter to ouifsdinner@gmail.com. If you would like to be seated with representatives from a particular bank or have any special dietary requirements please specify this in the subject line. Applications will not be considered after Wednesday November 19.
