OUIFS is here to help you stave off those 5th Week Blues, with a variety of excellent events and opportunities. The most exceptional opportunity is the chance we are offering our lucky female members to attend a talk by Bill Winters, the international Co-CEO of J.P. Morgan Investment Banking. He is literally one of the highest profile bankers in the world, regularly making headline news, making this an opportunity not to be missed by any interested women. Again for our female members, Deutsche Bank are holding a Women's Dinner this Thursday at The Oxford Retreat. This is a great chance to sit down and have a 3 course dinner whilst networking with bankers, discussing the many roles women take in banking, in a more relaxed setting.
Fear not though those of you with a Y chromosome, we are running events to which you males are invited as well. There a handful of remaining spaces for the Barclays Capital M&A workshop this Tuesday, where you will be able to hone the knowledge and skills required to shine at Assessment Centres and Interviews. As well as this J.P. Morgan are running a virtual FX trading game running for eleven days, with the top performers winning the prize of an access all areas visit to the trading floors of J.P. 1. Barclays Capital M&A workshop

Interested in a career in Banking? Not quite sure if it's for you? Looking for hands on experience from the experts?

Barclays Capital are coming down to Oxford and hosting a Mergers and Acquisitions Workshop Evening at the Old Bank Hotel. This hands on interactive task will put you in a a mock business scenario whilst putting your commerical skills to the test. Expect to meet representatives from Barclays and learn from the industry's experts on how a real M&A goes through.

3. Deutsche Bank Women's Dinner

Deutsche Bank is sponsoring a Women's Dinner at the Oxford Retreat (1 Hythe
Bridge St, right next to The Bridge) on November 13th, 19:00-21:00. Deutsche
Bank recruiters and representatives from all of the divisions will be there, ready to answer any questions you might have, plus there will be a delicious (and free) 3-course dinner and cocktails...

So if you are a female undergraduate and interested in working at Deutsche Bank,
please send an email with 'DB Women's Dinner' in the subject line and your CV attached to emily.packer@chch.ox.ac.uk AND event.signup@db.com by Sunday 9th November. Those applications we have already gotten we will forward on to the DB address.

The CV is only to choose who gets a place if there are too many applicants, but

chance to find out.

J.P. Morgan has teamed up with the Oxford University Investment and Finance
Society to bring you the J.P. Morgan Inter-University FX Trading Game. Test your
skills against those of your peers across the UK and the winners from each
university will be invited to spend time on the J.P. Morgan trading floor at
our London office.

You will be competing against students at 9 of the UK's top universities for a
unique opportunity to work shadow J.P. Morgan traders and meet our recruiters.
So whether you're a first time trader, or dabble frequently in the money-
markets, this could be your first-step towards a career in one of the most
exhilarating industries in global finance.
