Dear members,
It is now week 2 and the events are coming thick and fast. On Monday, J.P. Morgan and Barclays Capital are both giving firmwide presentations. Please see the details below and make sure you register where applicable. On Tuesday, we are delighted to be hosting Bob Janjuah, Chief Credit Strategist for RBS, at the Oxford Union in association with the PPE Society. Bob has over 20 years experience in the credit markets and was formerly the Global Head of Credit Research at UBS. On Wednesday, Goldman Sachs are giving their internship presentation and on Thursday OUIFS is holding a networking event at the Corner Club after the Finance Fair. This event will run from 16:00-18:00 and has limited capacity so make sure you get there asap and make the most of the opportunity to network exclusively with our sponsors.

This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions about recent developments and improve your commercial awareness in the run up to the interview season.

'After studying Law at the University of Warwick, Bob has spent 20yrs in the credit markets. After several years in the loan market, Bob joined SBC/UBS where he became Global Head of Credit Research in the mid-90s, including a 3yr stint in Hong Kong, and subsequently Bob has held a number of senior research and proprietary credit trading positions in the credit markets, including Head of Credit Trading, Europe, at Hypovereinsbank, and Head of Proprietary Credit Trading at ABN Amro in Europe. Since 2003 Bob has focused on macro credit strategy, at ABN, at Bear Stearns and right now Bob is the Chief Credit Strategist for the Royal Bank of Scotland'

OUIFS Finance Fair Networking Drinks @ The Corner Club (Turl Street), Thursday 4:00pm-6:00pmFollowing the Finance Fair at the Town Hall make your way down to the Corner Club on Turl Street for afternoon tea and cakes in the dining room or a drink from the bar with representatives from our Gold, Silver, and Bronze sponsors. This should be an excellent opportunity to network with representatives in a relaxed environment.
