The Oxford University Handball Club (OUHaC) is part of the University of Oxford and registered with the University Sports Department and the University Proctors. The club was founded in 2001 and has since then been going from strength to strength. The club celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2011!
The OUHaC is a member of the England Handball Association (EHA) and the British Handball Association (BHA). OUHaC is also a founding member of the Association of British University Handball Clubs (ABUHC).
In the past, the club entered competitions such as the Enlish National League, the British Cup, the EHA-organised British University Championships and the EHF Challenge Cup. An English University Handball League is currently being initiated by ABUHC.
The club actively seeks to promote handball in the UK and is thus always looking for new players at all levels for both our men's and women's team. OUHaC is open to non-university members. Especially, female players are encouraged to contact us.

Oxford University Sports Council Awards 2003
"The Runners-Up award went to Joachim Koops, for his steadfast work in building the sport of Handball in Oxford. He founded the University Handball Club, helped guide them to third place in the Student Championships in their first year, and second this year, as well as achieving a quarter-final spot in the British Cup and a place in the British National League's Southern Division One. Without his work and commitment, this very popular international sport would not exist in Oxford."
