Whether a complete beginner or an experienced pilot, OUGC gives members of Oxford University (and Oxford Brookes) the opportunity to learn to fly. Gliders are planes without engines, the pilot learns to utilise areas of rising air to stay airborne for long periods of time. We are based at Bicester airfield (30mins away by bus) and fly every weekend throughout the year and every Wednesday afternoon during term time.
