The OCS is inviting two distinguished members of the Said Business School to run a case study workshop to introduce the case study interview, where individuals are presented with a business problem and required to use logic, analytical reasoning and general business knowledge to come to a solution. The workshop is a chance for you both to learn more about the kind of work consultants do, and develop skills which will be highly valuable not only for a career in consulting, but also any business career.
Our two guests for the evening are:
Jonathan Black, formerly a senior consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, currently tutors and advises MBA students on careers in Management Consultancy at the Said Business School.
Andrew Bergbaum is head of the Oxford Consulting Network of MBA students, and will be beginning a career with a major management consulting firm on completion of his MBA this year.
The workshop will begin with a presentation introducing the concept of a case study interview, its purpose and how to go about tackling it. Jonathan and Andrew will begin by demonstrating an interview roleplay, and will then be followed by an informal Q&A session.
The OCS will be holding further case study workshops from Michaelmas onwards so you can benefit from further guidance from experienced professionals and practice with other students.
We look forward to seeing you next Wednesday!
The Oxford Consulting Society.
