Software Developer

Oxford Computer Consultants (OCC) is a well established company, 40-strong, based in central Oxford. Started by its 2 current directors in 1989, it has successfully grown to its current size. We provide original, robust and flexible IT solutions to governmental organizations, SMEs and global companies. We undertake Research & Development, thus ensuring we have expertise in current and emerging technologies.

We are looking for a bright software developer with:

  • 1+ year's experience in software development
  • 1st or 2.1 degree in a relevant subject
  • experience in a reasonable selection of the following technologies: C++, C#, VB.NET, XML, XSLT, SQL Server, MS Access and ASP-based web development
  • an aptitude for designing and developing Microsoft Windows applications
  • .NET and advanced Web-based applications preferred

Applicants must be interested in seeing through the complete life cycle of a project from specification and design to implementation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as successful candidates will be working directly with clients.

Successful candidates will have a minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant subject and be able to demonstrate an aptitude for designing and developing Microsoft Windows applications.

The scope of the work you will be involved with:

  • working on exciting or new projects for outside clients
  • projects for a variety of clients in central or local government
  • innovative SMEs or global companies
  • part of a team devising specification requirements and implementation plan
