This Ramadan, Muslim Hands is looking for enthusiastic volunteers who can play a very important part in our Zakat Awareness Campaign.

Zakat is a simple yet powerful tool in fighting poverty and is of course compulsory on all wealthy Muslims – yet so many people remain unaware of its importance and are confused about how much they need to pay, and who they can give their zakat to.

The MH zakat leaflet is a simple reminder to such readers to pay their zakat correctly through Muslim Hands. By distributing these leaflets you will not only be helping others understand this ‘Fard’ but you will also be helping to raise funds for needy families and communities around the world.
 

For those of you who are ongoing, active and able to hold a bucket - please consider signing up to become a Ramadan Fundraiser.

After registration and some training, you will be equipped with a uniform, buckets and leaflets so you can begin to raise funds and help save lives, insha'Allah.

You can also opt to place our donation boxes in your local shops. We will send you 4 collection boxes that you will place in carefully selected shops.

You will then be required to check on the boxes, empty them and bank the donations. It’s quite incredible how quickly pennies turn to hundreds of pounds in a well-placed box!
 

Many of us will be hosting iftar gatherings in our homes this Ramadan. In fact we know that many of our volunteers have already set a date for the first Friday of Ramadan to hold an iftar event at their homes or local restaurants.

You too can organise a Ramadan Fundraising Dinner simply by telling your guests beforehand that you will be collecting donations on behalf of Muslim Hands.

If you have a particular project or cause you are passionate about (e.g. orphan care or safe water) please let us know in advance and we will send you extra information or leaflets to share with your guests.
