Magdalen College Garden Show 2007

The Cherry Orchard puts life on stage. Madame Ranevskaya returns from Paris to find that her family estate is about to be sold. The family are torn between their nostalgic feelings for the white-blossomed orchard and their desire to return to Paris.

Conceived as a comedy, Chekhov’s final play presents the characters in all their foolishness and all their humanity. The Magdalen Players present an all-encompassing production, blending superb acting with vibrant soundscapes in the beautiful setting of the President’s Gardens to create an unforgettable experience.
