Get Active: Tennis 4 Beginners

Have you ever wondered what the proper way to hold a tennis racket is?
Have you ever watched Roger Federer play and think think - how did he do that?
Have you ever witnessed Elena Dementieva play and think - how did she do that?
Have you always been too scared to play tennis in the fear of being laughed at?

If yes to any of the above, then 'Tennis 4 Beginners' is for you!

These are tennis coaching sessions for beginners. As part of KCLSU’s ‘Get Active’ initiative to encourage students to take up a new sport, members of the Tennis Club itself will be lending an hour of their time every Wednesday to teach anyone who is keen to learn tennis - perhaps for the first time! We have spare rackets for people to borrow, but do bring your own if you have one. You can join any time during the term, but the more lessons you attend, the more coaching you’ll get!

N.B. These sessions are open to all students - there is no need to become a member of the club.

When do they start?
From Wednesday October 5th 2011 2-3pm, and every Wednesday thereafter at the same time. They also take place at Kennington Park, so if you fancy carrying on playing tennis, that’s what Social Tennis is for! 'Tennis 4 Beginners' will run for the first term, and we'll update you in due course as to whether it'll happen again in the second term.
