Jolidays provides activity days and residential weekends for young carers age 8-18. These are are normal kids who have more than normal amounts of responsibility at home.
We run several away weekends and activity days per year, so it's a great project if you have a lot or a little time to give. Previous activities have included quad biking, lazer questing, high ropes, pottery painting, cookery, indoor play centre fun, cinema trips and much much more.

Our 1st Jolidays weekend trip will be from the evening of Friday 4th February to the afternoon of Sunday 6th February. We are visiting the Avon Tyrrell outdoor activity centre in Dorset and have rented a little bunhouse on site in the New Forest National Park.
The activities will include cookery, a guided night walk and low and high ropes! We will be taking 8 young carers in the 10-12 age group.
We are looking for five volunteers to come along. If you are interested please send me an email to let me know.
Our second weekend trip of the term will be the weekend of February 25th-27th, so if you know that you are unable to make these dates let us know and you will get priority on the 1st trip.
We are also having another street collection and two day trips during the term, so if you can't spare a whole weekend there will still be opportunities to volunteer.
