Hello everyone,
We have a new coach! Mr Arman Sahovic has been employed as an assistant coach for the dance club. He will mostly be assisting with the Beginners' Team in both latin and ballroom, however, he is available for lessons during the summer.
Should you wish to take lessons with him he can be reached by email at arman04@imperial.ac.uk or on his mobile phone on 07949923262. He will be charging £25 per hour.

Just incase you're getting a little bit jittery what with not having classes all summer, Natasha will be teaching a Ballroom Technique class at the Stardust Ballroom. If you would like to attend this until our classes begin again in October, please feel free!

Hi all,
It's almost Easter and I'm sure everyone's excited about the break! Summer term starts on the 26th April (Monday) and classes will resume as per normal.
However, club classes will only be running for 4 weeks next term due to exams starting in May. If you still have your bulkbuy cards though, fret not - as you will be able to use it for the first term next academic year!
For those interested in taking medal exams and wish for more practice, you can always arrange for private lessons with the coaches at your own discretion.
Hope you have a lovely Easter and see you all when term starts again!

Hi all,
Firstly, a huge thank you for all those who came to IICC and the Ball and hope all of you had a great time!
Changes to classes this week as follows:
- Salsa on Monday (22 Mar) will be held in the Union Activity Space instead
- No beginners team at all on Wed (24 Mar)
- No ballroom technique on Thurs (25 Mar)
Also, do note that our AGM will be held at 12 noon in Huxley LT 311 on Wed (24 Mar) and there will be lots of food/snacks around so do come and cast your vote for the committee next year!

Don't have a partner? Or do you feel like the season is over after IVDC? Absolutely no reason not to join IICC with the new and exciting competition format!
There will be 2 categories - Beginners/Novice and Intermediate/Advanced. Under the Beg/Nov category, there will be 4 one dance events - the Waltz, Quickstep, Cha and Jive. Under the Inter/Adv category, there will be 10 one dance events - the Waltz, Quickstep, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Cha, Jive, Rumba, Samba and Paso. Anyone - including ex-student - can take part in any and any number of the events!
Even if you have never done competitive dancing before, this is the best chance for you to experience the thrills and excitement of competing in a prestigious ballroom in Central London! Be it a melange of basic steps, your medal routines or an open choreography, there will be events for you to take part in. The entry deadline has now been extended and entries at the door will also be allowed. However, to facilitate planning, please do email your entries to dance@imperial.ac.uk including the names of competitors, events entered and whether you'd like to come for the ball.
There will also be a spectacular Ball held in the evening whereby our very own Imperial two-times Offbeat Champions will be performing their spectacular-standing-ovation-deserving Michael Jackson inspired item. There will also be a professional Latin demonstration by the 5 times Portugal Amateur Champions - Carlos Custodian and Elena Plescenco! Besides jaw-dropping performances, this is also a rare opportunity to dance to a live band in the main ballroom or chill to chart musics in the adjacent bar. Even if you're not a student or competitor, you're still warmly welcomed to join us for a night of dancing and entertainment at the ball.
