After obtaining her A Levels, Joy spent 3 years studying Primary Education and after graduating she spent some time teaching in her home town of Poole, Dorset. Then she went abroad for almost a decade where she taught both English and French in International Schools in Europe and the Middle East.
It was whilst abroad that Joy realised how quickly and easily her young pupils were picking up other languages and so upon her return she was keen to get involved in language teaching in the UK.
Joy joined La Jolie Ronde in the mid-1990s and became the Regional Co-ordinator for West London in 2000.

Our Tutors
Joy has a team of talented language tutors. All are fluent French or Spanish speakers and are selected for their linguistic and class management skills as well as their professionalism and enthusiasm. They have to undergo rigorous training, attend regular workshops and seminars and their lessons are regularly quality checked by their Regional Co-ordinator.
All La Jolie Ronde tutors are fully CRB checked and cleared.

La Jolie Ronde is an internationally-recognised and award-winning course especially for young learners from 3-11 years old. The course comprises lots of wonderful songs, games, role-plays and so on and follows themes which the children are familiar with in their own language. The course is available in both French and Spanish and it fully complements the language work that is done in school.
There is even a special course just for nursery school children.
