About this group
Hearty Squirrel is a student and volunteer run food cooperative at the University of Edinburgh. We strive to provide healthy, local, ethical, organic and Fairtrade food to students and staff, as well as a unique and informative experience for our volunteers. Our goals also include promoting and educating the University public on food sustainability.
We operate through
a dry foodstuffs stall in Potterrow on Mondays, 10am-3pm,
a Veg Bag stall every Thursday, in fornt of George Square Library, 1pm-4pm.
and bulk food orders where any products from our catalogue can be ordered, giving the opportunity for you to stock up!
How to get involved
We communicate via two email lists:
1. Updates - for periodic (weekly/fortnightly) emails to update on our operations + news + info on how to get involved/volunteer.
2. Planning - for members to regularly plan and organise rotas for volunteering and so on and so forth.
