Demonstration against BAE System's investment in the Oxford Said Business School, Friday 7th Week, 12.30pm

Friday, 6th June 2008 @ 12:30pm

You may have read about a fresh donation to the tune of £25m to the
University by arms broker Wafic Said, a key player in the Al-Yamamah
arms deal between BAE Systems and Saudi Arabia that is under scrutiny by
the Serious Fraud Office for corruption and bribery. The Government
halted this inquiry on grounds of 'national security' - a decision under
challenge in the courts. The University has refused to say if this
donation was submitted to the committee that is supposed to scrutinize
donations on ethical grounds.

Join a demonstration at 12.30pm tomorrow outside the Business School
which bears his name, to insist that the university should not accept
money made on the back of weapons, repression and corrupt practices.
