Hands Up for Darfur, Oxford

Profile

Hands up for Darfur is a student initiative, launched in 2006, which is
raising awareness and funds for relief agencies in Darfur

Last year we put on
- a sponsored rowathon
- a forum at the Oxford Union chaired by Jon Snow - a ball at the Oxford Town Hall, which featured former child soldier
turned, up and coming rap artist, Emmanuel Jal - a street fair in Gloucester Green

all in all we managed to raise a total of £50,000 for our two charities Medicins Sans Frontières and Kids for Kids
