What are the experiences and practices of financing energy efficiency across countries in the Baltic Sea Region? How can the transition to a carbon-free economy be accelerated in a cost-effective way? Can it be done by financing green investments? Which financial schemes are used and what energy efficiency solutions are applied?
Ministry of Economics of Latvia (as the Policy Area Energy coordinator of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region) is organizing a regional seminar “Financing the Future of Energy Efficiency”, in Riga.
The event is organized in a close collaboration with Baltic Development Forum and the Council of the Baltic Sea States/Baltic 2030 (Horizontal Action Climate coordinator of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region).
The aim of the seminar is to address different solutions for the green investment financing to stimulate the transition to a carbon free economy in a cost-effective way. Experts around the Baltic Sea region will share their practices, experiences and different viewpoints on how to exploit the energy efficiency potential using various solutions and schemes in the Baltic Sea region. This include the European policy perspective as well as financial institutions, banks and the industry perspective. Cases with the best practices on financing energy efficient solutions, including ESCO models, will be shared.
