The Oxford Drunken Knitwits is hands-down the best knitting club in Oxford, and maybe ever. It was established in 2012, to fill Oxford's desperate need for old-fashioned drunken knitting get-togethers.
We meet every Wednesday evening at various pubs throughout the city to socialise and work on individual and group knitting projects -- over a pint (or three) of course!
Whether you're a knitter who needs to add a social aspect to your hobby, someone who's always wanted to learn to knit, or someone who's new to town and wants to take on a new hobby while making friends, then ODK is the home for you.
Warnings and Disclaimers:
You may have to unpick some knitting mistakes after attending one of our events. We suggest bringing simple projects on Wednesday evenings to avoid this hassle.
We do not take ourselves very seriously (evidence below).
We use the term "knit" roughly. If you prefer crochet, that's cool.
