I am very pleased to know of so many people who want to take over the CUACS. I have heard many new and exciting ideas which look to build us up in so many ways.
Hustings will be on THURSDAY, 27TH OF NOVEMBER at 6.30 P.M. VENUE IS TBC
There have been 2 slight change to proceedings this year.
Firstly, the tenure of the next committee will be until the end of the summer and there after, tenure will be for the whole the academic year. So from Michaelmas 09, tenure will be from Michaelmas to Easter term. This allows for better continuity of a committee and allows things to run smoother since there is the huge risk of losing linguist and 3rd year executives over the summer.
Secondly, all positions are up for grabs apart from President. Esther Odida, former Social Secretary, will be the Presindent for the next two terms. This is because her experience with us during this term will be invaluable to the next committee.
So as usual send in nominations, via e-mail to Somi on president@cuacs.co.uk and CC me on secretary@cuacs.co.uk, for the following positions
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Social Secretary (2 positions)
- Graduate Representative
- Publicity Officer
Please send in manifestos for each positions; there is no restriction to length. These will be circulated around the society before hustings. If you would like to find out more information about each positionor what your manifesto should look like please feel free to e-mail committee@cuacs.co.uk.
Being a part of the committee is a fantastic experience and is fantastic on your CV... all we are looking for is ENTHUSIASM!
