I am recruiting volunteers for a study into intrusive memories, these are memories that spring spontaneously to mind. Your participation will involve two short sessions at the Department (address above) a week apart. You will also be asked to maintain a very brief record of any intrusions you experience over the following 7 days before returning to the Department for the second session. If you participate in this study you will receive a time reimbursement of £10.

During your first visit to the Dept. you will view a short film (12-14mins) whilst possibly undertaking another simultaneous task and having your heart rate monitored. You should be aware that the film content will include scenes of a traumatic nature such as the aftermath of road traffic accidents.

Testing will take place at the Univ. Dept of Psychiatry, Warneford Hospital, Headington (see link below for directions). Contact me for details of testing times and/or for more information.
