THE CHALLENGE: Live for two days on a budget of just 97p a day (that’s $1.50), and raise awareness of those living in poverty around the world. Donate what you don’t spend to Christian Aid to help our fight against poverty, and get your friends and family to sponsor you. It’s possible to get enough calories for that cash (we know, we did it last year), particularly if you pool your money together with friends and buy in bulk.
You’ll get a swanky t-shirt, an opportunity to share meals with your friends, and most importantly, the chance to act in solidarity with those who have no choice but to live on so little.
When? 13th and 14th of May (please let us know you’re interested by 7th May)
Who? Please contact HBrock@christian-aid.org for more details, and to sign up!

In the lead up to the general election, a coalition of Greenpeace, Oxfam, WWF, RSPB, Christian Aid, the World Development Movement, People and Planet, Tearfund and the Green Alliance are working together to raise the issue of climate change with politicians. This is going to focus on marginal constituencies, which around here means Oxford East. The objective is to get as many people in the constituency as possible to ask their candidates `climate questions' in the run up to the election. To help to do this we will be organising a Climate Question Time event with your Prospective Parliamentary Candidates (PPC).
Panel: Andrew Smith MP (Labour), Steve Goddard (Liberal Democrat), Edward Argar (Conservative) and Sushila Dhall (Green Party).
