Our current African project focuses on the Child Africa International School in Uganda, one of the first schools in Africa to combine deaf and non deaf children into the school curriculum.

Latin Fusion dance classes with an African twist...  8 week course starting
Saturday 19 June 2010  

Jazz, salsa, funk, rumba, and african steps all to infectious latin rhythms. High energy classes - better than the gym and guaranteed to lift your spirits!

No partner required, beginners most welcome.
Classes run at the YMCA in the Pye Room from 10-11am every Saturday for 8 weeks

Itupale Online Journal of African Studies: Volume II now available online

The Itupale Online Journal of African Studies is very happy to announce the online publication of Volume II (2010) entitled 'Education in Africa: Developments for the 21st Century

Itupale is a research initiative funded by Cambridge to Africa. Our aim is to provide an opening publishing platform within an international context for African scholars residing in sub-Saharan Africa.  All submissions are peer reviewed and pass through a rigorous revision cycle before publication.

Charity concert with Mifune Tsuji (violin) and Paul Jackson (piano)

Cambridge to Africa presents an evening of classical music with the acclaimed violinist and piano duo Mifune Tsuji and Paul Jackson. The programme for the night will feature music from Bach, Arvo Pärt, Piazzola and Prokofiev.

Refreshments are available before the event and during intermission

Paul Jackson is Head of Music and Performing Arts at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. He directs the Anglia Symphony Orchestra and the contemporary music group Anglia Sinfonia.
Mifune Tsuji has performed as a soloist and chamber music player throughout Europe, Asia, America and Canada. She has developed her style and technique under some of the world's leading violinists, including Alberto Lysy and Rustislav Dubinsky. This violinist and piano duo are outstanding to watch and will leave you enthralled.



We are very happy to announce that all proceeds will be donated to our social inclusion project in East Africa. We provide funding and educational expertise for the Child Africa International School in Kabale, Uganda. Latin Fusion Dance - 8 week course starting Thursday 15 October 2009

Time to get on your dancing shoes! Modern Jazz, salsa, rumba, funk, afro and cha-cha-cha steps to name a few, all to infectious latin rhythms.

These classes are high energy, better than the gym and
guaranteed to lift your spirits Suitable for beginners, no partner needed.

When: Thursdays from 6-7pm
