David Langer

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

David leads business strategy and development for GroupSpaces, as well as overseeing activities in all other areas of the company. He is a former member of the England table tennis squad and has been organising clubs and societies for over 11 years. Having previously worked with JPMorgan, McKinsey & Company and Lehman Brothers, David has a strong background in finance, statistical analysis and sales.

David has an honours degree in Mathematics from Oxford University and was awarded 2nd place in the 2007 UK Graduate of the Year competition. He is the Entrepreneurship Columnist for national student newspaper The Gateway and blogs about entrepreneurship at www.davidlanger.co.uk

Andrew Young

Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer

Andrew leads product strategy and development, whilst retaining direct contact with GroupSpaces' user-base. Prior to founding GroupSpaces, Andrew accumulated many years' experience in professional web development developing systems for real estate, e-commerce and content management. He has also consulted for publicly traded, private and public sector organisations.

Having received a scholarship in Computer Science at Oxford University, Andrew won a place on IBM's EMEA Best Student Recognition Event in Nice in 2007. He is currently on leave from studies whilst working at GroupSpaces full-time and is Vice President and advisor to the Oxford Entrepreneurs student society.

Rob Eyre

Software Developer

Rob manages development of many of the online tools provided by GroupSpaces. Prior to joining Groupspaces, Rob worked for 7 years at The Oxford Trust as a Web Developer and Research Manager, where he managed several projects including the delivery of a complex £100,000 website.

He holds three degrees: an honours degree in Physics from Oxford University in 1996, an MSc in Technology & Innovation Management from Sussex University in 1999 and an MBA from Oxford University in 2005 where he specialised in leadership, entrepreneurship and strategy implementation.

Ran Wei

Sales Manager

Ran manages dozens of advertising client relationships on behalf of the company and leads implementation of GroupSpaces' sales campaigns. As a former Chairman & Managing Director of Oxford Student Publications Ltd (OSPL), a media company which publishes the Cherwell student newspaper at Oxford University, Ran brings extensive corporate sales, customer relationship management and online media experience to the team. At OSPL, he personally generated advertising sales of over £50,000 from dozens of blue chip companies.

Ran is currently on a Mathematics scholarship at Oxford University and has also interned with Barclays Capital, Morgan Stanley and the Bank of China.

Stephen Bullock is a successful entrepreneur and a full-time Private Investor and Consultant to early-stage companies with a significant portfolio in Technology, Software, B2B, Media and Healthcare sectors. He is an active NED/Chairman or has a Board Observer/Consultant role in a number of portfolio companies.

Dr. John Boyle

John uses his wealth of experience in the IT sector to advise the Management Team on both strategic and operational activities. He is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Oxford Computer Consultants, a software design and consultancy business with over 50 staff that he founded straight out of university. John has since been involved in starting up a number of other companies in the Internet and IT sectors. Having obtained a first degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Warwick, John was seconded to Cambridge University where he was awarded a prize-winning PhD in Artificial Intelligence.

Simon Blakey

A biochemist and management accountant by training, Simon founded early-stage investment firm Avonmore Developments in 2000. In his subsequent role as Managing Director, he is actively involved in the deal-making/selection process and sits on the board of several of Avonmore's portfolio companies. Simon brings to GroupSpaces a great deal of experience in fundraising and management of high growth businesses.

Gordon Buxton

Gordon provides hosting and technical support for GroupSpaces.com. He is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Oxinet, an Oxford-based software and Internet services business. With over 10 years experience providing software and hosting solutions for public and private sector clients including the NHS, Gordon is able to offer the Management Team in-depth technical advice.
