SKIP Bristol was established in 2006 and since then has worked with the community of Cato Manor. This is a large township on the periphery of Durban, South Africa. It has been described as a “third world within a first world city” where apartheid inequality is still apparent. There are high levels of under nourishment, inadequate shelter and HIV rates are as high as one third.
