A warm welcome to the Worcestershire Bat Group 

Here you can find information about the group and what we do, or help if you have found a grounded bat.

Members can access information on events, training etc. and documents that are for paid members of the group only. We are made up of a wide variety of people, from keen amateur naturalists, professional ecologists and bat workers, to people who just have a fondness and enjoyment of bats, one of our most enigmatic native mammal species.

No experience is necessary to join, as within a short amount of time taking part in our events, you will soon pick up the basics of bat detector use, and be able to take part in a wide range of active and passive surveys. We meet monthly and in addition during the active season, hold more surveys, and put on public bat walks, talks and other outreach events.
