WMARA is a local grassroots animal rights group that meets monthly in Florence, MA to discuss issues and plan events to educate and promote animal-friendly lifestyles. WMARA was recently formed in January 2011. We hold peaceful demonstrations and educational/outreach events. Please join us speak for the animals!
WMARA VISION STATEMENT: To end the suffering of all animals through activism, education, legislation, networking and collaboration.
WMARA MISSION STATEMENT: To unite people working for animal rights in Western MA to foster, encourage, plan, and take peaceful action in the following areas: Elimination of animal suffering; Education - the organization will provide extensive community awareness through presentations, demonstrations, workshops, literature and hands-on opportunities; Lobbying for effective animal rights legislation; Activist Support - the organization will offer positive reinforcement for difficult issues that may arise in the work towards ending animal suffering.
