Society Re-registration Packs

E-mail sent by Stephen Quinlan, Tuesday, 15th May 2012 @ 10:04am

Hi All,

Society re-registration packs are now available to collect from the Student Activities Office. We have attached the forms to this email if you prefer to download and print them yourself.  Included is the form for requesting a stall at the Student Welcome Fair in September. The deadline for the return of all the forms is Friday, 8th June.

Please note if you choose to download the forms, you will still need to collect a bank account change of signatories form from the Activities Office.

Regards

Student Activities.

Estival

E-mail sent by Stephen Quinlan, Monday, 14th May 2012 @ 4:29pm

Estival, Manchester's biggest student run arts festival, returns on 5th-8th June.  We are running 10 concerts covering a huge rage on genres over just four days.  From Band night to Big Band and Chamber Choir to Symphony Orchestra.
Student tickets are available and the festival is the perfect chance to experience the Manchester University Music Society if you're interested in joining next year.

Opportunities on the Mancunion for the new year!

E-mail sent by Naomi Atkin, Friday, 11th May 2012 @ 6:49pm

To society leaders,

I'm Richard, the next editor of The Mancunion. This year i'm hoping to get as many people applying for positions at the paper and want to build as strong a relationship with societies as possible. It would be great if you could pass along this message to encourage your members to apply for positions:

http://www.student-direct.co.uk/2012/05/08/the-mancunion-apply-to-be-a-section-editor/

It really is a rewarding thing to do. You work with a fantastic group of people, write articles that will be read by thousands and it's a great thing to put on your CV, whether you want a career in journalism or not.

One problem we always have is that people often feel they haven't contributed enough to apply. Please don't let that put you off, you will still be in contention!

Many thanks, and I hope to be reading your applications soon

Richard Crook
